Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 11 October 2026
Please read these Terms carefully before using the SafeStart Academy website or purchasing any course or service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SafeStart Academy. If you have any questions, please contact us before proceeding.
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the SafeStart Academy website at safestartacademy.co.uk ("the Site") and the purchase of courses, scholarship services, and related products offered by Safety Group Global Ltd, trading as SafeStart Academy ("we", "us", "our").
By accessing the Site or purchasing any product or service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Safety Group Global Ltd is a commercial training business registered in England and Wales. These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
2. Eligibility to Use the Site
You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase a course or register an account. By using the Site, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You are responsible for ensuring that any information you provide to us — including personal details, eligibility declarations, and payment information — is accurate and complete. Providing false or misleading information may result in cancellation of your enrolment or scholarship without refund.
3. Course Purchases
All course prices are displayed in pounds sterling (£) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed.
A binding contract is formed when we send you a written order confirmation by email. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order at our discretion, in which case a full refund will be issued.
- Access to online course materials is granted upon receipt of full payment.
- Course access periods are specified at the point of purchase. Extensions may be available at an additional charge.
- Courses are for personal use only. You may not share login credentials or course materials with third parties.
- Awarding body examination fees (where applicable) are separate from course fees unless explicitly stated otherwise.
4. Cancellation and Refunds
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel a digital course purchase within 14 days of the date of purchase, provided you have not yet accessed the course materials.
By accessing course materials before the 14-day period expires, you acknowledge that you are waiving your right to cancel under these Regulations.
To request a cancellation, please contact Safety Group Global Ltd at [email protected] or on +44 1536 292440 within the cancellation period. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of a valid cancellation request.
Refunds are not available for courses where access has been granted and materials have been accessed, except where required by law or where the course is materially defective.
5. Scholarship Programme
The SafeStart Academy scholarship programme is a discretionary commercial initiative operated by Safety Group Global Ltd. Scholarship awards are not guaranteed and are subject to the availability of funds and the outcome of the application review process.
Safety Group Global Ltd, trading as SafeStart Academy, is not a registered charity. Contributions made by donors are not charitable donations and do not qualify for Gift Aid or tax relief. All funds received are used to purchase accredited courses on behalf of scholarship recipients.
Scholarship decisions are final. Safety Group Global Ltd reserves the right to withdraw a scholarship award if an applicant is found to have provided false or misleading information, or if they fail to meet the eligibility criteria set out in the application process.
Scholarship recipients must be lawfully present in the United Kingdom and hold a valid passport or equivalent travel document. Documentary evidence will be required before any award is confirmed.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including text, images, course materials, logos, and software — is the property of Safety Group Global Ltd or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trade mark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on the Site without our prior written consent, except as permitted by law.
Awarding body names and logos (NEBOSH, IOSH, ISEP, ISO) are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only. Safety Group Global Ltd makes no claim of ownership over these marks.
7. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Subject to the above, the total liability of Safety Group Global Ltd to you in connection with any course or service shall not exceed the amount paid by you for that course or service.
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss, including loss of income, loss of business, or loss of anticipated savings, even if we were advised of the possibility of such loss.
We do not guarantee that any course will result in a pass, qualification, or employment outcome. Examination results are determined by the relevant awarding body and are outside our control.
8. Data Protection
Safety Group Global Ltd processes your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
